Clyde & Cairn is a waterproof, windproof, soft-sided and breathable dog carrier handmade to order in my UK atelier. Designed for small dogs and everyday travel, it is durable, machine washable and available in three sizes.
I make each carrier using outer hard-wearing Foxa arctic fabric, developed for demanding outdoor conditions. The fabric helps protect against rain, wind and dirt while remaining breathable, making Clyde & Cairn a practical everyday dog carrier for British weather.
Inside is my signature three-layer supportive cushion with a rigid base designed to help keep your dog's body properly supported while travelling. Remove the cushion and it also works as a portable dog bed, giving your dog a familiar place to rest wherever you go.
The Clyde & Cairn is my most luxurious carrier, handcrafted in my UK studio. The exterior is made from Foxa arctic fabric: waterproof, windproof, and breathable and the inside is lined with the softest teddy microfibre, available in grey.
What makes this lining extra special is where I source it from. The teddy fabric comes from my Belgian supplier's babywear department the same quality used next to a newborn's skin. I chose it deliberately, because your dog deserves that same level of softness and care.
The Foxa fabric itself has an extraordinary story. Manufactured in Forssa, Finland, Foxa proudly continues over 170 years of textile tradition. Their arctic fabrics are trusted for military and polar outerwear, stopping wind, rain, and dirt while staying light and breathable. When I chose this fabric for my carriers, I chose the best.
At the base sits a 3-layer orthopedic cushion, which I consider essential in all my carriers. Proper back support isn't a luxury, it's something every dog that spends time in a carrier should have. A side pocket keeps treats, leads, and essentials close to hand, and a carabiner clip attaches to your dog's harness or collar for safety.
The Clyde & Cairn works as a carrier, a travel bag, a walking bag, and a bed on the go wherever you and your dog are headed, this bag comes with you.
My customers take it on trains, to restaurants and hotels. Their dogs settle in it like it's their own bed because really, it is.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Machine wash at 30°C in a laundry bag. Do not tumble dry or iron. Teddy pillowcase washable separately. Do not wash the inner foam cushion.
